We are beginning full time missions in the Yucatan'

Hi, we are the Asbury Family! Our family has answered the call into full time ministry and we will be serving in Mérida, Mexico as missionaries with Sports Crusaders. We have three sons, Brady (18), Porter (13) and Owen (9). Mandy and Brady have served on the Sports Crusader international teams the last three years. What started out as a great opportunity to use a sport that they both love to help spread the gospel has become a family—a Sports Crusader Family. The relationships that have been formed will serve as a great foundation for the birth of this ministry. Over the next couple of years, we will be working with local pastors and teams to reach people with the gospel of Christ. During this time, we will be continuing the work in local clinics with an emphasis on teaching the sport, but also focusing on key attributes like teamwork. We will use this time to teach the participants about God and help to make disciples through bible studies and small group settings. Sports Crusaders has had a large part in the planting of a church near Mérida and we will be planting another church in a small community where no protestant church currently exists. These two things will be our main focus, but as God opens doors, we will seek additional opportunities. Above all, we are devoted to serving the local people and developing relationships with them! This was Christ's model for evangelism and we are excited to be a part of the Great Commission in Mérida.
